During the meeting, BRILA delegation actively introduced Chinas comprehensive achievements in the rule of law, Chinas commitment to promoting high-quality cooperation for the Belt and Road Initiative"(BRI) and the crucial role of BRILA in providing effective and efficient legal services for the BRI cooperation. In addition, the delegation had cordial conversations with Richard Briggs, President of IPBA, and Jorg Menzer, Secretary-General of IBA, on deepening exchanges and cooperation and advancing win-win development.

As Mr. Kang Yu, Secretary-General of BRILA, pointed out in the keynote speech at the China session, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the BRI. In the past 10 years, the BRI cooperation has been further advanced, and more than 180 countries and international organizations have signed BRI cooperation documents with China. The BRI has been welcomed by the international community both as a public good and a cooperation platform and enhanced global prosperity and development. BRILA is conducive to strengthening exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese lawyers and lawyers in BRI countries, to the continuous improvement of regional economic and trade rules, and to building a new platform for pragmatic cooperation among lawyers in the BRI countries. BRILA is expected to forge ahead with the recognition and support of the legal profession, and make its contributions to the high-quality BRI cooperation.
