BRILA Secretary-General Kang Yu attended the fifth Promotion Conference of “Belt and Road” Legal Service Typical Cases

On November 12th, the fifth Promotion Conference of Belt and Road Legal Service Typical Cases, hosted by the Legal Daily, was held in Beijing. Representatives from the Supreme Peoples Court, Ministry of Justice, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, PRC, as well as experts and scholars from the China Law Society attended the conference. Zhang Mingqi, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Law Society, Kang Yu, Secretary-General of BRILA, and Shao Bingfang, president of the Legal Daily, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

Secretary-General Kang Yu highlighted in his speech that the Legal Daily has successfully organized five consecutive events, effectively mobilized the enthusiasm and creativity of the legal service professionals, including lawyers. It has fostered connections among government, courts, enterprises, law firms, research institutions, and media outlets. This initiative holds substantial importance in enhancing the efficiency of legal service under the Belt and Road initiative (BRI), while also standardizing corporate investment and operational activities.

BRILA will continue its support for the Legal Daily in collecting and promoting typical cases of legal services related to the BRI, in the hope of encouraging active involvement of more legal service professionals, fostering mutual learning and exchanges, building widespread consensus for practical cooperation, and contributing wisdom and strength to facilitate the high-quality development of the BRI.

Since 2018, the Legal Daily has hosted five series of the Belt and Road legal service typical cases collection and promotion activities. By establishing such a communication and cooperation platform for typical legal services, it has consistently advocated for internationalized practices of China's foreign-related legal services. These endeavors have made positive contributions to the BRI legal services.
