On June 21, 2024, the inauguration ceremony of the Harbin Center of the The Belt and Road International Lawyers Association (BRILA) was held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Wang Zhenjiang, Vice-Minister of Justice of P. R.China, and Li Yi, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province were present at the event.
Wang Zhenjiang pointed out that since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed, Heilongjiang has deeply integrated into the joint construction of the Belt and Road. The establishment of the Harbin Center is of great significance in promoting the development of BRILA, strengthening international exchanges and cooperation in the field of the rule of law, creating a legal business environment, and promoting the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. He hopes that the representative offices(centers) of BRILA will fully leverage their functional roles, deepening pragmatic cooperation,and promoting better development of legal services.
Kang Yu, Secretary-General of BRILA, Cui Yonghong, Director -General of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Justice, leaders and experts from Ministry of Justice, relevant departments of Heilongjiang Province, the Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center, and heads of the six representative offices(centers) of BRILA, as well as leaders of the Heilongjiang Lawyers Association and representatives of foreign-related lawyers attended the ceremony.
