The Launching Ceremony of Guangzhou Center of BRILA (hereinafter referred to as Guangzhou Center) and The Guangzhou International Commercial Legal Service Center were held at the Lawyer Mansion, Guangzhou Municipality on May 8^th, marking that the Guangzhou Center of BRILA was officially put into use. And the 1^st Training Session of Foreign-related Legal Practice was held on the same day.

Mr. Kang Yu, Secretary General of BRILA, noted in his speech that the Ministry of Justice of the People’s Republic of China has attached great importance to the development of foreign-related legal services in recent years. The Guangzhou Center will not only promote the foreign-related legal service in Guangzhou Municipality and Guangdong Province, but lay a solid foundation for the building of the rule of law in this region. He expects Guangdong Province and Guangzhou Municipality to make continuous efforts on building Guangzhou Center into a significant base for promoting the rule of law concerning foreign affairs and urges Guangzhou Center to accumulate replicable and conducive experience and cases to advance the development of foreign-related legal services. He also expects Xi’an, Guangzhou and Chengdu Center, as representative branch of BRILA, to establish a cooperation mechanism in talents training and information & resource sharing to provide efficient and quality legal services for the development of Belt and Road Initiative.

Mr. Liang Zhen, deputy director-general of Guangdong Department of Justice, noted in his speech that the establishment of Guangzhou Center will be a milestone for the development of foreign-related legal service in Guangdong Province. He expects Guangzhou Center to implement new development ideals in the new era and improve the level of cross-border legal service, so as to make Chinese lawyers play a more important role in global governance system, provide more efficient legal services for the ‘going out’ of the Chinese enterprises and individuals, and realize high quality and rapid development of the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area in the future.

Mr. He Youhan, deputy director-general of Guangzhou Bureau of Justice, also expressed in his speech that Guangzhou Center will innovate legal service mode, strengthen brand building of legal service, and make cooperation with the legal service profession in relevant BRI countries and regions, so as to provide concrete legal support for the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
